The Connection
For the two of you, when the same argument keeps arriving in different clothes.
Book a ConsultationIt is never really about the dishwasher. The argument still arrives, wearing whatever it found that morning, and by the end neither of you can remember what started it, only how it felt.
Four sessions for the two of you, together. We work the pattern rather than the incident, because the incident changes every week and the pattern almost never does. Then the part nobody teaches: how to say a hard, true thing so it can actually be heard, and how to find the way back afterwards.
Is this you?
- The same argument keeps arriving, in different clothes.
- You have stopped saying the true thing because of how it tends to land.
- One of you pushes and one of you goes quiet, and you both hate the dance.
- Repair takes days, or it never quite happens and you simply move on.
- You still love each other, and you are tired of living braced.
What you’ll walk away with
- The pattern underneath the arguments, named clearly enough that you can both see it happening.
- A way to say the hard thing that does not put the other person straight onto the defensive.
- Real listening, which is harder and far rarer than either of you thinks.
- Repair you can actually do, rather than waiting for it to blow over.
- A shared language for the next time, because there will be a next time.
The Shape of the Work
Four sessions with both of you in the room, moving from what is actually going on to something you can use in the kitchen at eight on a Tuesday.
How It Works
Four sessions of 75 to 90 minutes with both of you present, held weekly or biweekly. Longer than the one-to-one sessions, because two people need more room. Companion pages come with you so the practice happens at home, where the arguments actually live. Sometimes a single session on your own is useful along the way, and we would decide that together rather than behind each other.
What people say afterwards
Kako's gentle yet insightful approach challenged me in all the right ways. I haven't raised my voice in over six months, and my children have shared that they feel truly heard.
